Description of Chinese Tea Ceremony

Tea Ceremony” started in ancient China, it can be traced back to the ancient times, and it was flourished in Tang Dynasty and Song Dynasty. We can say event of tea in other countries in the world, directly or indirectly, are basically spread out from China. Although there are hundreds of varieties of Chinese tea, they are primarily grown in the south of China. Tea can mainly be classified into five categories. The classifications are determined by the method of processing the tea. The five types are green tea, black tea, brick tea, scented tea, and Oolong tea. With its natural fragrance, the most popular among different people is green tea, which is also the most commonly used in the Tea Ceremony. Tea Ceremony has been treated as a medium to communicate and cultivate people’s taste. The Chinese tea ceremony thoughts are the fusion of Confucianism, Taoism and Buddhism. The core of Chinese tea ceremony spirit is “harmony”. Many people must think Japan is the original country of Tea Ceremony. However, it was imported from Tang Dynasty of China, and then carried forward to Japan.

No matter what kind of tea you are drinking, you can take a lot of advantages from it. It can make people in high spirits, just like the function of coffee, enhance your thinking and fresh your memory. What’s more, it can eliminate fatigue, promote metabolism, and prevent many kinds of diseases. The most important is tea could help to edify sentiment, cultivate interest, shape characters and remove distracting thoughts. One of the key words in Tea culture is “savoring”. “Savoring tea" is not only a way to discern good tea from mediocre tea, but also how people take delight in their reverie.
